Mallis Named Stampede General Manager

The Harrisburg Stampede spent most of the offseason revamping their roster and bringing in new and talented prospects.  However, those players taking the field in just over a month will not be the only new faces associated with the franchise.  Jeff Mallis, a 2003 Temple University graduate, was recently named to the position of General Manager for the second year franchise.

With a background in sales, publicity and marketing, Mallis approached the Stampede in hopes of becoming an account executive, but was offered more responsibility.  Mallis said, “I had heard about the Stampede during last season and as an avid football fan, I wanted to do what I could to help ensure success in the future.”

He has now found himself in a position to play an integral role in the team’s success.  As general manager, Mallis will have to maintain communications with other members of the front office and also act as a customer satisfaction liaison between the team and their fans.  He said, “I am here to answer any questions and handle any concerns.  We want to take care of our fans and make sure that they have the best experience possible whenever they come to our games.”

Mallis has very high hopes for the Harrisburg Stampede entering the 2010 season.  Mallis said, “We are trying to take everything one season at a time, but the organization as a whole has made incredible progress and 2010 should be a very successful year.”
